I’m very happy to announce that my new book, The Secret Promise of Aging: Finding Meaning, Joy and Inner Peace as Years Fly By, has been published in print and Kindle versions at Amazon.

The book has already earned high praise from best-selling authors like Ken Wilber, author of The Integral Vision, Sharon Salzberg, author of Real Happiness and Lovingkindness, and James Hollis, Ph.D, author of What Matters Most.

The Secret Promise of Aging consists of approximately 40 essays that offer insights and strategies to help us overcome challenges and discover the blessings of aging. The reflections are based in my personal experience of moving from turmoil and despair into acceptance, joy and inner peace.

The book was a labor of love that took more than a year to write. It draws on some of my best posts with new material added. It is my hope that it will help you see aging in a new light and remind you of the infinite peace and wisdom that is within each one of us.

The list price of my book is $13.95 for the print edition, and $5.95 for the Kindle version. However, for a limited time Amazon, out of the goodness of its heart, is offering the print book for only $12.56. And not only that. Since I am enrolled in Amazon’s Matchbook program, you can get the Kindle version for FREE if you buy one or more copies of the print book.

So here’s a thought. Christmas is on the horizon. How about checking out my book to see if you think it might make a nice present – either as a print book or a Kindle book — for some of your friends or family? SIMPLY CLICK HERE to find out more about my book.

How thankful I am that, as I say, our spirit is eternal and free, untouched by the outer events of our lives. Joy is our birthright. Peace is our birthright. The older I become, the more deeply I realize that no matter what our age it is never too late to tap into the sheer joy of life — and it is never too late to live our dream.

Here are some of the reviews I have received:

“Christopher Foster’s collection of quotations and reflective essays is full of generous insight and truth-telling. Its graceful companionship will be welcomed by readers of every age.” – Sharon Salzberg, author of Real Happiness and Lovingkindness.

“A bright and insightful book … can ease that glide path (of aging) considerably.” – Ken Wilber, author of The Integral Vision.

“Given that our flight from the … process of aging and mortality is the chief neurosis of our time, Christopher Foster’s reflections are most welcome for they summon the reader to thoughtful reflection, to the courage of convictions, and to a more considered embrace of the wonder, terror, and gift of this brief journey we call our lives.” – James Hollis, Ph. D., Jungian analyst and author of What Matters Most: Living a More Considered Life.

“Are you aging? Then run, don’t walk, to get this lovely book. Christopher Foster tells it like it is and …offers insights and practical suggestions to soften and sweeten the journey. This book is a rare blend of clarity and heart.” – Gail Brenner, Ph.D.,  blogger, A Flourishing Life.

On a personal note, I’m sorry I have not been blogging as frequently as I would like in recent weeks. I’ve been putting all my energy into getting my book finished and published at Amazon and I’ve also had some physical issues to attend to. I would like to let you know that I will be having some surgery soon. This need has arisen fairly quickly and I can’t be sure when I will publish my next post.

Love and blessings to you, and I hope you enjoy my book!! Thank you also for your patience as the book has wended its way through the publishing process.
