Hi Uzma. Thanks for your input. I think you are absolutely right. Stop seeking. The name of my blog is kind of a paradox. We become a happy seeker when we stop seeking! But a bit of seeking is necessary to prime the pump so to speak, at least it was for me.

You can't go wrong if you literally just stop for a moment. Stop whatever you are doing, stop your thinking, and take the first baby step of listening to emptiness. It may seem strange and unusual at first to do this. We tend to be afraid of nothingness. But make this a habit, something you just do every now and again whenever you think of it or have a moment to spare during the day, and you will find the apparent emptines is alive with wonder -- with bliss.
And the bliss is you.

In my experience, stopping and simply surrendering in this way to emptiness (ie stillness) is the only way to let go and begin the process of becoming more sensitive to the presence of our own being.

You will find that this is not only very enjoyable but there is no end to it. There is always more peace and authentic happiness to be experienced.

With love and blessings.

Thank u Christopher. Indeed, the reassurance of others is what I need. I do have the courage to know that the stillness is lost somewhere, behind veils (as the sufi's say), yet I don't know how to let the veils fall. After all the seeking, I think it is time to stop and just let myself be. Am hoping that will be a step to peace too.

Thank you again Uzma for sharing. I am very touched by your words. Two thoughts come to my mind. One is that I don't think any of us can do this all on our own (even though paradoxically there is something only we can do). We all need the reassurance and agreement of others, or of another person.
But the other thought is this. I think you should be so proud Uzma that you have the courage and integrity to face these issues, and not run away, as many do. As uncomfortable as it can be, the essential thing is to keep on going, not let yourself be stopped.
Ultimately, stillness is all there is. Forms come and go -- but the stillness of your own being is always here. It won't let you down.
There is a saying that "the darkest hour is just before the dawn." I have found this to be so true.

It is my privilege to be here. . Taking on from Lance's comment, I wonder why we lose the stillness, why the mind and the body just don't sit still. So much inner work to do, so much to uncover, sometimes it is overwhelming. So to reiterate your point. We must be kind to ourselves. Gentle and let the healing happen. Thank u for your warm words.

Deep thanks to you too for your comment Uzma. Suddenly, a comment shows up like yours. One moment, it wasn't there. The next moment it is there, and with it a tangible feeling of connection with a fellow pilgrim quite a long way away. India, I believe. What a remarkable country, so much energy, and life -- was privileged to make a number of visits back along the way. Every good wish Uzma.
